Written by Chad | Sep 19, 2025 4:10:04 AM

Allotrac v1.2.3 is live and packed with features designed to make your workflows smoother, your drivers’ experience simpler, and your document handling more secure. From mobile rollovers to public file sharing and bug fixes across the platform, here’s everything you need to know ⬇️

🔁 In-Progress Jobs Now Roll Over to the Next Shift

Jobs that span multiple days just got smarter. Allocators and drivers no longer need to abandon or manually reset in-progress work — Allotrac now rolls them forward automatically when a shift ends.

🔧 What’s New?

  • Idle or in-progress jobs now roll over to the next available shift when the active shift ends

  • Honours shift restrictions: rolls over to the correct next morning/afternoon shift

  • Maintains job continuity for drivers and keeps jobs visible in the new shift

  • Driver resumes job from where the last driver left off (where supported)

💡 Why This Matters

  • Supports long-running or multi-day delivery workflows

  • Eliminates manual cleanup and idle jobs stuck in expired shifts

  • Gives drivers and allocators a seamless handover across shifts

📄 Public File Sharing and PDF Form Submissions

FilePack functionality is now complete — enabling secure, public file sharing, automated form PDF generation, and key management.

🔧 What’s New?

  • FilePacks can be shared via secure public links

  • Forms submitted by drivers auto-generate shareable PDFs added to FilePack

  • Admins can regenerate or disable public keys for file access on demand

💡 Why This Matters

  • Enables effortless customer-facing document delivery

  • Reduces friction in sharing job forms, permits, or delivery paperwork

  • Adds security and transparency to your job documentation

📬 POP/POD Email Improvements

Customers can now receive Proof of Pickup and Proof of Delivery images and signatures directly attached to emails — with correct local time.

🔧 What’s New?

  • POP & POD images/signatures can now be sent as attachments

  • Timezone support for email templates — timestamps now reflect site settings

  • Merge tags for POP/POD time and file links updated for accuracy

💡 Why This Matters

  • Shows customers exactly what was delivered and when

  • Reduces support calls for timestamp discrepancies

  • Delivers compliance-ready evidence with every job

📱 Driver Experience Enhancements

We’ve expanded access to job info and documents on the driver app to reduce confusion, support safety, and increase self-service.

🔧 What’s New?

  • Drivers can now view full job information throughout the delivery lifecycle

  • Job-specific documentation now accessible within driver interface

💡 Why This Matters

  • Improves driver awareness and compliance onsite

  • Reduces need for back-and-forth with allocators

  • Makes site maps, permits, and special instructions easy to access

🚚 Allocation & Shift Safeguards

Stronger protections are now in place to prevent multiple drivers operating the same vehicle at once.

🔧 What’s New?

  • If two drivers self-assign to the same vehicle, the second driver can “kick out” the first — with full warning (WTS-1590)

  • Allocators assigning a new driver to an already-assigned vehicle will cancel the previous driver’s shift

  • Alerts provided to both drivers to confirm action and notify of unassignment

💡 Why This Matters

  • Prevents duplicate shift conflicts and job confusion

  • Adds safety and transparency for drivers in the field

  • Gives allocators clean control over who’s active in each vehicle

🕒 Cross-Date Shifts and Timezone Handling

We’ve fixed and enhanced several time and shift-related issues across the platform.

🔧 What’s New?

  • Users can now create shifts that span multiple calendar days (e.g. 8 PM–8 AM)

  • POP/POD and job timestamps now use the site’s timezone, not UTC

  • Overnight site resets in demo environments now preserve selected language

💡 Why This Matters

  • Unlocks night shift support

  • Prevents confusion across timezones

  • Delivers a more consistent user experience in all regions

🧩 UI Enhancements and Quality of Life

We’ve continued improving form behaviour, customisation options, and general usability across the platform.

🔧 What’s New?

  • Added the ability to toggle sub-table columns in job and project listing views

  • Apostrophes now supported in customer and site names

  • You can now right-click any menu to open in a new tab

  • Prevent accidental data loss by disabling object switch mid-edit in CRUD views

  • Improved templating layout in Release Job form

🪲 Bug Fixes and Stability

A broad round of bug fixes focused on correctness, performance, and API edge cases.

  • Fixed “no shift” text on job tiles — now shows a dash (”–”) when unset

  • Corrected casing for Job Type labels (e.g. “Pickup and delivery”)

  • Fixed crash in job quick edit when cancelling/editing new address

  • Fixed Custom Fields screen failing to submit for enum/date values

  • Resolved ApolloError when site timezone was not provided

  • Fixed “WeekDayConsolidate” error on contact update with consolidation method

  • Vehicles no longer fetch data unnecessarily on mobile — improves offline support

  • Stopped vehicle document editing from disappearing for subscribed tiers

  • Resolved “Application error” when viewing user docs post-invite

  • Cloud icon (online/offline) now updates correctly after ending shift
