Allotrac's Latest Release: Next-Level Fleet Collaboration & Operational Control

Discover Allotrac.io 2.0.0, featuring enhanced fleet collaboration, AI capabilities, and operational control to streamline transport operations seamlessly.

Allotrac.io 2.0.0 is a major platform release focused on network collaboration, operational planning, external driver workflows, AI capability, and improved job execution flexibility.

This release introduces the Allotrac Network, Carrier Tier onboarding, Ad Hoc Jobs, Runs, Pre-load Jobs, Hourly Hire, QR Login, AI/analytics expansion, and the first stage of operational cost modelling through COGS and COS.

What's New?

Allotrac Network

Allotrac Network introduces cross-tenant operational collaboration.

Businesses can now connect with other Allotrac tenants using Site Connections and securely share jobs, selected vehicles, and operational information with external partners.

Key capabilities include:

  • Cross-tenant job sharing
  • Site Connections with secure invitation codes
  • Field-level sharing permissions
  • Controlled read/write and sync behaviour
  • Shared vehicle visibility
  • Allocation board support for connected tenants
  • Parent/child tenant job separation
  • PHYSICAL item synchronisation while keeping CHARGES private
  • Network-aware allocation workflows

This gives transport businesses a controlled way to work with subcontractors, carriers, and connected partners without manually duplicating jobs across systems.

Carrier Tier

2.0.0 introduces a dedicated Carrier Tier for transport carriers and logistics partners participating in the Allotrac Network.

Carrier Tier sites are free, production-level tenants designed for real operational use by connected partners.

Carrier sites can be provisioned with:

  • Active production site status
  • Network-enabled partner access
  • Baseline user groups
  • Vehicle classes
  • Licence classes
  • Form templates
  • Document types
  • Job types
  • Shift templates
  • Unit systems and display units

This allows full Allotrac tenants to invite subcontractors and carriers into the ecosystem without requiring those partners to purchase a full commercial subscription.

Ad Hoc Jobs

Ad Hoc Jobs allow dispatchers to share individual jobs with external drivers who do not have a standard Allotrac account.

Dispatchers can send jobs directly via text message, allowing subcontractors or casual drivers to view, acknowledge, accept, reject, and start work from a mobile-first workflow.

Key capabilities include:

  • SMS text message based job sharing
  • Public job invitation links
  • Secure jobKey access
  • Ad Hoc Contact management
  • Twilio phone validation
  • Invitation lifecycle tracking
  • Public job preview
  • Auth0 OTP login via text message
  • Temporary driver creation
  • Temporary vehicle creation
  • Dynamic ad hoc shift creation
  • Real-time invitation updates
  • Usage-based credit charging

This supports real-world subcontractor operations where work needs to be allocated quickly without full driver onboarding.

Yard Apps

Allotrac now extends beyond the cab and into the yard itself. Bring your yard operations into the same connected ecosystem with:

  • Weighbridge workflows
  • Loader and yard task execution
  • Yard queue and throughput management
  • POS / counter sales
  • Kiosk and self-service workflows
  • Job and non-job yard movements
  • Docket and proof generation

Track and control the movement, transformation, and commercialisation of physical goods through a site in real time.

Runs

Runs introduce a new planning and allocation workflow for grouping multiple jobs before a vehicle or driver has been selected.

Dispatchers can now build ordered job sequences, group related jobs, organise work ahead of time, and allocate the full run to a vehicle shift when ready.

Key capabilities include:

  • Draft, Ready, and Allocated run statuses
  • Add and remove jobs from runs
  • Reorder jobs within a run
  • Group related jobs inside a run
  • Allocate a full run in one action
  • Unallocate runs where permitted
  • Preserve planned order during allocation
  • Validate shift template and fleet restrictions

Runs reduce manual allocation effort and give operations teams a cleaner way to prepare work before committing it to a truck.

Pre-load Jobs

Pre-load Jobs allow dispatchers to prepare freight during the current shift for delivery in a future shift.

This supports operations such as overnight loading, depot staging, early morning deliveries, and cross-shift freight preparation.

Key capabilities include:

  • Dedicated preload states: pending and loaded
  • Pre-load for Next Shift action
  • Future shift ghost tiles
  • Automatic future shift handling
  • Rollover prioritisation for pre-loaded work
  • Driver-facing preload badges and styling
  • Shift-end preload finalisation
  • Delivery restrictions until preload work is completed

When preload jobs are loaded and rolled over, they are prioritised first in the next operational shift.

Hourly Hire Jobs

Hourly Hire introduces a dedicated job type for time-based operational or service work.

This supports businesses charging by time rather than by traditional freight movement.

Typical use cases include:

  • Truck and dog hourly hire
  • Excavator and machinery hire
  • Labour hire
  • Water cart services
  • Vacuum truck operation
  • Site attendance work
  • Standby equipment

Key capabilities include:

  • Hourly Start workflow stage
  • Hourly Work Entry workflow stage
  • Hourly Confirmation workflow stage
  • Automatic start and end time tracking
  • Duration calculation
  • Mobile running timers
  • Work entry logging
  • Time-based item validation
  • Quantity and time confirmation for invoicing

This brings time-based operational workflows into the normal Allotrac Job and Workflow engine.

Cost of Goods & Cost of Service

2.0.0 introduces a multi-layer operational costing model.

Allotrac now supports separate pricing layers for:

Pricing Layer

Purpose

Sell Price

Customer-facing revenue

Cost of Goods

Material and supplier costs

Cost of Service

Carrier and operational service costs

Dedicated pricelist types now include:

  • SELL
  • COST_OF_GOODS
  • COST_OF_SERVICE

Costs can be resolved automatically from operational contacts:

  • Billable Contact resolves sell pricing
  • Origin Contact resolves Cost of Goods
  • Carrier Contact resolves Cost of Service

This gives businesses clearer visibility into operational margin and the true cost of completing work.

QR Login

QR Login introduces a faster way to authenticate shared or operational devices.

Users can sign into an unauthenticated device by scanning a QR code with another device that is already authenticated.

Supported environments include:

  • Webapp
  • Mobile
  • PWA
  • Shared tablets
  • Warehouse devices
  • Yard kiosks
  • Driver tablets

Key capabilities include:

  • QR-based device login
  • Webapp token handoff
  • Mobile credential handoff
  • WebSocket relay service
  • Sender and receiver session handling
  • User confirmation before authorisation
  • Five-minute QR session expiry
  • Expired session cleanup

This reduces friction for operational environments where typing credentials on shared devices is slow or impractical.

AI & Analytics Platform Expansion

2.0.0 expands Allotrac's AI and analytics capability.

New capabilities include:

Automated Workers

Automated Workers are autonomous AI agents that can run on a schedule or on demand.

They support:

  • Configurable operational automation
  • Scoped permissions
  • Monthly credit limits
  • Scheduled execution
  • On-demand execution

Example use cases include job updates, daily operational summaries, overdue job monitoring, and administrative support.

Allie Voice Assistant

Allie Voice allows users to interact with Allie using natural voice conversations from mobile devices and tablets.

Supported use cases include:

  • Drivers checking upcoming jobs
  • Customer service teams checking job status
  • Operations teams asking for updates or making changes

Conversation Memory & Session History

Allie now supports persistent conversation memory and session history, allowing users to continue previous conversations and review past AI interactions.

Custom Dashboards

Users can create personalised operational dashboards using the metrics most relevant to their business.

Allie PWA

Allie can now be installed as a Progressive Web App for a more app-like mobile and tablet experience.

Allocation Improvements

Allocation Ordering Behaviour

The Allocation screen no longer applies automatic sorting or ordering restrictions based on job status.

Previously, jobs could be automatically reordered by status such as Completed, In Progress, or Idle.

Now:

  • Allocator-defined order is preserved
  • Driver actions do not reorder jobs
  • Completed jobs remain in their allocated position
  • Allocators can move jobs freely
  • Grouped jobs follow the same behaviour
  • Filters can be used to hide completed jobs if preferred

This makes allocation order the source of truth and preserves allocator intent.

Allotrac.io 2.0.0 is a significant operational platform release.

The biggest themes are:

  • Connecting businesses through the Allotrac Network
